Fight Fight Fight!

Allow me to present to you, a dramatization of Gary Shelton and "The Point After" Commenter "Ray" having words:

Groovy Time for a Movie Time!

Star-divide

Words:

Jose, at what point did getting into the ring with a 7-2, 330 mixed martial artist seem like a good idea?

Pretty much, we can all agree on two things about Canseco. One,there was a lot of truth to what he said about ballplayers and steroids in his book. Two, he can't fight a lick.

How about him fighting Gary Shelton? At least he had the courage to step in the ring. That's something for sure Gary doesn't have. Hey Gary, Mr. Canseco is free to do whatever he likes to do. Why should that be of my business or yours?

Okay, Ray. Let me explain this slowly.

I write opinions on sports. This is a blog where I do so. Jose Canseco is a sports figure. With me so far? That's why it's my business.

As far as getting into the ring, I'm flattered you would shell out the pay-per-view money.

But again, the point of the post is to say that it's silly to get hit in the face for money.

Thanks for your input, though.

MMA isn't sports

and a real sports writer wouldn’t even comment on it.

Are you joking?

It’s not pro wrestling. MMA is just as much real sports as olympic wrestling or boxing. And this is coming from someone who doesn’t like MMA.

Vogt early, Vogt often.

It's human cockfighting

You are an animal if you think it’s anything else.

And he should die in a fire...

doesn’t this make this somewhat humorous?

Shelton debases his status as a sports writer by commenting on things like MMA

The guy has a vote for the MLB hall of fame, and scoops to such shit. It’s down right shameful.

It's no wonder that the printed word is a dying medium.

Maybe editors should take a look around the office and realize having nothing but elderly hacks on the staff doesn’t win over the younger generation of readers.

I just his style of writing too..

He tends to start the first three or four paragraphs with the same damn beginning sentence every time… Gimmick over please… not to mention other obvious things that annoy the general public… And those attempts to be humorous… Not working

OMG.. you've unlocked me! and know my real name.

I will silently die now.

I would expect this from anyone but you “rimjobber2000” I enjoyed our time together… I’m so sorry we have to end this way.

Jose Canseco is a sports figure?

Do what you love to do and give it your very best. Whether it's business or baseball, or the theater, or any field. If you don't love what you're doing and you can't give it your best, get out of it. Life is too short. You'll be an old man before you know it.
