It was okay, I think

Brad Ziegler had a scoreless inning streak. Brad Ziegler had not met BJ Upton.

Eye-popping numbers

I realize it’s only 100 or so at-bats, but he’s sitting at .394/.430/.625, 9/11 on steals, 17/6 K/BB ratio, 7 doubles, 4 triples, 3 HRs. I guess the walk rate can be low as long as he’s batting around .400.

Vogt early, Vogt often.

And the cozy confines of Vero Beach aren't even helping him out much

1.414 OPS on the road, .803 at home. Almost an equal split versus righties and lefties, although I doubt he’ll be able to maintain a .609 BABIP against lefties. Very solid 18% LD rate, and a 46% GB rate isn’t bad considering his speed.

Vogt early, Vogt often.

Vero Beach is dead

Jennings killed it on his way out the door

Do what you love to do and give it your very best. Whether it's business or baseball, or the theater, or any field. If you don't love what you're doing and you can't give it your best, get out of it. Life is too short. You'll be an old man before you know it.

durham bull-pen

Notice the work of Dale Thayer so far? Three saves, one run, twelve innings, 0.73 ERA in ten games. Is there room for him in St. Pete?

There is room for a talented pitcher, but...
