Going to Yankee Stadium tomorrow.

Has anyone been to the new stadium yet? I am going tomorrow and trying to figure out the best place to sit. Does anyone know how far up the field and main levels are? I am trying to figure out how they compare to lower box seats at the trop. Any input would be appreciated. It is going to be great watching the Rays beat the hell out of the Yankees in their new (empty) stadium.

Buy upperdeck seats

and try to sneak in somewhere closer. There should be a few empties.

i am thinking they have ushers preventing this

based on all the empty seats we see on tv. they have lower level tickets on stubhub for like 1/5 of face value so i am just going to take that route.

You wont have a problem getting seats.

Doesn't answer your questions but...

Hit the Yankee food court behind 3B. They have funny pictures of the Babe, Yogi and Steinbrenner eating. While there stand in the SRO section and watch a few innings from the field level.

The BBQ sandwiches in LF are tasty. They also have Becks on draft which is the only place I found so far that has it.
Cuban sandwiches in RF are okay. The PBR is in the Great Hall down the 1B line. A must see.

Hit the Yankee museum. They have Thurman’s locker, Bill Dickey’s hat, the 1996,98,99 and 00 Championship trophies, Bernie’s bat and a signed ball from almost every living Yankee as well as some legends.

Of course, the above is from a Yankees fan, but figure if you’re going to be there you should at least look around a bit. I’m heading up for the early June series. Go Rays!
