What I Liked:
CC Busting his power slump
Sweeping the Yankees.
Sweeping a Road Series
Sweeping a team on the road that we’re supposed to be better than
Sweeping a division opponent
Sweeping a division opponent on the road
Zorilla’s bomb
Longo’s 2 bombs
MVBOMB
JP being nasty
Shouse
The 3 pitch, 1 out save
What I didn’t like
Jeff Niemann’s redicluous pitching performance. You’d think he’d be getting better by now. That’s not happening.
Every AB for CC except for the last was pretty shitty, and even then, he was still hacking.
Burrell still slumping. He’s gotta wake up before the offense starts to go flat again.
Wheeler tossing BP to Damon. How the fuck do you keep doing that?
"Where we all wait in earnest with pudding in hand for the Upton comet to sail through the roofed skies, so that we may meet Him."
Well yeah, of course
I liked his facial expressions more.
Seriously though, all of the victory senarios make me very happy. Last year the Rays gave away so many games to the Yankees. The Rays had so many problems winning road division series, let alone sweeping them. And so many times the Rays would be coming off a high from winning a home series then go on the road and lose the next subsequent series against an alledgedly inferior team.
I’d like to see the team at .500 by the end of this road trip. I think it can happen.

Sorry I wasn't here
I was busy watching Star Trek.

You're right about one thing RJ
A ‘W’ sometimes doesn’t tell the full story of how the pitcher performed
Great game
A 'W' seldom tells the full story
The only thing you can be certain of, is that (if it’s a starter), they pitched 5 innings.

I love how ESPN credits all homers hit in NY are because of the stadium.
And not the shitty pitching.
M.V.Z. Most Valuable Zorilla!
great game,
if CC plays the rest of the year almost as good as he’s been the past few weeks, he’ll be a force on this team.
howell = awesome, i loved his “i’m fucking awesome” attitude tonight
bartlett at the top of the lineup = runs scored, bj get dropped til he busts his slump?
9th inning committee = i love it
Dewayne Staats mentioned that Nelson got the win
Some sort of special rule was invoked. Does anyone know what the rule is?
rule 10.17 states, as follows
Ahem…
© The official scorer shall not credit as the winning pitcher a relief pitcher who is ineffective in a brief appearance, when at least one succeeding relief pitcher pitches effectively in helping his team maintain its lead. In such a case, the official scorer shall credit as the winning pitcher the succeeding relief pitcher who was most effective, in the judgment of the official scorer.
Rule 10.17© Comment: The official scorer generally should, but is not required to, consider the appearance of a relief pitcher to be ineffective and brief if such relief pitcher pitches less than one inning and allows two or more earned runs to score (even if such runs are charged to a previous pitcher).
