Adam Kennedy --> OAK
For a player to be named later and cash.
Kennedy signed with the Rays this offseason as a NRI and accepted an assignment to Durham. He was one of the last spring cuts. He hit .280/.366/.439 for the Bulls in 23 games.

Not really, I’m guessing we probably lost on this one in terms of a talent vs. talent scenario, but Kennedy probably wasn’t going to contribute here and from a player PR perspective, these kinds of actions cash in.

any idea?
what positional needs do rays have?
The Rays didn’t want to let the veteran infielder go, but they also didn’t want to get in the way of him returning to the majors. The A’s had a need, so the Rays made the deal. They’ll get a minor league position player back, with his identity likely to be revealed in a week or so.
