A International Home Run hitting contest
Power Showcase.
I heard that they use to let people shag but it looked like they stopped that. Our 17th round pick was in it this year.

The website didn't mention anything about being able to attend.
Doubt they let anyone in.

That's not true. It was in very early January maybe even New Years day.
They advertised it, at least on Fox 13. It was a free event. Anyone could have gone.

He was hitting balls off the back wall.
One went 502 feet, a record at Tropicana Field, albeit with a metal bat. Here’s the YouTube clip.

Rays baseball + Colorado Football= amazing
Yeah.
Washington hit the jackpot. They’ll get to draft two of the best prospects in the history of baseball in back to back years.

Nice swing/pop for a highschooler.
Only thing is the aluminum bat, an average major league hitter could put on a show with an aluminum bat.
Avergae MLB hitters aren't 16 years old
The aluminum bat helps a good bit but the kid has a ton of talent.

And you wouldn't want him on your team?
I’m not saying this kid will make it, but the talent is there. You could have come up with much better examples than a guy who made it to the bigs and has performed well.

So did Ken Griffey Jr.
And other teenager ballplayers who don’t succumb to drugs.
