Chad Bradford's Return to the Tampa Bay Rays Bullpen Coming Soon
The submariner Bradford has joined the Durham Bulls roster in order to continue his rehab assignment. WIth the demotion of Reid Brignac earlier this week, Durham sent infielder Brandon Chaves down to Montgomery in order to make room for the reliever. Bradford has missed the entire season to date, but doesn't seem too far away from making his 2009 majors debut.

I think Nelson gets DL'd to try to get him straightened out.
I don’t see how you just walk away from a guy who was as good as he was last year without trying to figure out why he’s not.

*Also, no hits or walks in his last 6 appearances
So even then, I don’t know. I don’t think you release him though.

Just send Choate down and let Nellie/Howell worry about particularly difficult lefties.

Can't just "send Choate down"

Then get rid of him.
He is expendable.
Though, I doubt the organization would do that. Maybe just give Nellie a DL break to rest his arm and work on dealing Wheels or something.

I saw "becoming closer" in the title of this article and damn near had a heart attack.

I had to read the 3 times to figure out that it didn't mean 'becoming the closer'

Think we see him next time we're home against the Phils?
or is that too soon?

The weakest link seems to be ...
… either Dan Wheeler or Grant Balfour!
Joe Nelson looks as if he can turn it around, I can see Winsten Abreu and Bradford becoming valuable parts of the pen as well, Cormier and Howell are out of question and Choate/Shouse is our lefty mix, so … just Wheeler / Balfour remaining.
Put one on the DL?
Highest likely scenario however: Sending Abreu down till a real injury happens!

This would be the 3rd time he's been called up
Without knowing anything about the lawyer bullshit, I would think he still has an option. LINK

Somebody call Reasonable Doubt.
And then fire off some guns to scare him away.

Trade or DFA Wheeler
He is the weakest link. He could probably be decent in a trade also. Some stupid team that needs bullpen help will snatch him due to his name.

Frankly, outside of April, Wheeler has been a good arm out of the bullpen. The weakest guy in there right now is Balf.
