Robinson Cano got a -.420 WPA
He GIDP’ed with two on and 1 out in the bottom of the 9th… a full-leverage situation and he blew it.
We know something you don't know
And if we don't share then we don't grow
Unabomber set the whole world on fire
Izzy had a -.957 on a certain day for us, pretty hard to beat that

that game might have been a (bad cliche alert) "turning point." Seems like we have been rolling since then along with the bullpen.
I'd go with that series
b/c we lost the next 3 games after that night.

Offense was terrible tonight
Only Longoria had more than one hit, and they were spaced terribly and with it getting shut down after the 5th, I do see this as a good learning experience for Price
What was is velocity down by today?
Price tonight
Looked like Vanderbilt Price. His stuff wasn’t as dominant as it’s capable of being, but his control was a lot better. If he can harness his fastball control when it’s in the mid to high-90s instead of the low-90s and touching the mid-90s, he’s going to be a monster.
Hello.
You take out the 2nd inning and he has a nasty line
Personally I hate when people say stuff like “he did great accept for…” but he really only had one bad inning and missed on a couple pitches here or there. By far his most efficient start and the fact he came back out and pretty much dominated when he couldve freaked out and blew it is nice to see. Lets see if he can put it all together this weekend.

All things considered, I thought he did OK, and I'd say this is better then his last couple of outings.
"Where we all wait in earnest with pudding in hand for the Upton comet to sail through the roofed skies, so that we may meet Him."
I wanna see if he got any extra break
for the lack of velocity…
if it was just some added control (it didn’t seem like added command) then it probably wasn’t worth it. Both home runs on sliders though…
I just don’t think he can pitch with two pitchers that aren’t dominant and expect to succeed. When he uses the mid 90s heat and mid-hgih 80s slider then he can get by with just that. Tonight… well he needed another pitch or 3…
He was successful with the changeup tonight
Just didn’t start throwing it until halfway through the game. He’ll learn.
Maybe I’m just an old fashioned BJ suck-off-er. (Good call Sandy)
