Within his first week back in the majors, Joe Dillon appeared in six games for the Rays. At-bats have been hard to come by since. Dillon's appearance against the Angels on June 9th would be his last until June 16th. It's been a week since Dillon took a pitch that mattered even though the Rays were on the road and playing in National League environments.
I'm not sure Dillon really cares. The major league paycheck is nice, and so is flying to your next destination instead of hopping on a bus. Still though, Andy Sonnanstine has appeared as a pinch hitter more in the past seven days than Dillon.
Other notes:
Rays Prospects has the night in the minors.
Evan Longoria is the WARlord, again.
Colin Wyers with a job listing for "aspiring sabermetric writers".
