Random Stats and Whatnot
I am hitting .261/.362/.469 (.831) in 226 at-bats this year with 8 HRs, 19 2Bs and 2 3Bs. My K:BB ratio sits at 45:37. I am a plus fielder. I am known simply as Gabe. (The numbers just get better when you break them down for the platoon split and/or isolate their ABs in RF).
John Jaso's line for the past 28 days:
.250/.388/.441 (.829)
BABIP: .237(!)
Neutralized for luck:
.317/.442/.523 (.965)
He's sporting a 13:6 BB:K ratio during this period.
Wade Davis is sporting a 3.34 FIP during the last 4 weeks while putting up a 41:10 K:BB and a 9.46 K/9. The four homers he's given up are a little alarming, otherwise though he's looking very promising lately. I wonder how much longer until he cracks the rotation.
Bah, I wanted to do a bit more but duty calls and my internet is slow as balls. (that's right, I rhymed; what, you wanna fight about it?). While I know it's not much and nothing here is exactly eye-popping, I gotta say I'm glad to contribute something to a great site that I'm glad to say I've been able to read everyday since I've gotten here. You guys are doing a fantastic job and I appreciate the hell out of it. Aside from not being able to watch the actual games, I don't really feel like I've missed a whole lot. So thanks, seriously. Keep up the good work.

Could Jaso fill in our weakest link in the lineup?

I don't see why not.
Even if his defense sucks, the extra offense 2-3 times a week would be appreciated.

Good to hear from you.
The Gabe of the day has done quite well for us this year despite the slow start.
Our RF platoon has been 2nd in UZR and 3rd in wOBA on the year. If you add up wRAA and FRAA we are number 2 to the Diamondbacks and their man-beast. The RF position for the team has been worth a little over 4 wins. BALLLAAAAAAA

5 HRs in 15 starts for Wade
That’s the opposite of alarming.
Maybe I’m just an old fashioned BJ suck-off-er. (Good call Sandy)

Who called the Gabes?
oh, and I would call them more than just +
7 runs in the amount of time they’ve gotten (less than 1/2 a season) is top notch

Still not Zo Machine
but the Gabes are rock solid. My argument all along

...
come on now, dont troll me now
firstly, playing time
secondly, their BABIPS are each about 50 points lower than they should be according to their line drive rate.
I’m not saying that given the same playing time they would have preformed to the same level Zobrist has, but, given how good they’ve been, it would be pretty damn close. They saved 6.7 runs in approximatley 1/3 of a season of playing time, have put up somewhere in the low .370s in wOBA with a good 50 points of BABIP to spare. Prorate that over a full season and you get about 2 wins in the field and a .375 wOBA. Now, I’m sure they’ll finish more at the .335 – .340 / 10 – 15 runs we expected, but, to this point, they haven’t been so much worse than Zobrist
oh, yeah, and I call bullshit on the Zobrist defense. He can’t be this good… I refuse to believe it because if I do and he fails then I’ll tell myself I should’ve been expecting it cries

Kapler finally coming to life saved the platoon
We knew what we were getting with Gross. He has been fairly consistent. His problem has always been being pitiful vs lefties.

fairly consistent to the tune of .380 wOBA not counting his win tonight?
I didn’t know I was getting this, and I loved him before
oh, and thats with 5 runs saved in SSS in RF.
