while the attention is nice
anyone else a little worried that everyone and their mother, especially on the 4 letter network is now picking us to win the division. Heck Peter Gammons said we could win the division by 5 games. While I believe we are definately capable of doing that, it is still way early and we are still a good way back. Lets get in position to win the wild card and than worry about the division.
They just do that to jinx us because they are all Boston lovers

It's pretty insane that a win pct of .557 is only third when it's better than the entire NL sans LAD
It is what it is
Sure life could be easier in another division, but that isn’t an excuse
Please trade us
to the NL East, We will literally burn everybody to death in that division.

anyone besides me worried Boston will somehow underpay for Ian Stewart
and he will end up being really good
I thought I heard his name come up
but the more I think about it it may have been about fantasy (I was not paying attention to bbtn 100%)
If they can make it a 1 run game, O's have a chance off Papelbon

papelwhiner is bitching about that last ball call
It was damn close though
it looked like a strike to me
but some of the calls he got earlier were a joke. so i don’t feel bad.

Jim Palmer
said this (home plate ump) was one of the exhibitions of umpiring he’d seen in his career in baseball

Count Von Count (aka, The Count) from Sesame Street? It’s actually quite hilarious when you see the Count and how similar it is to Garza. They have the same dark eyes, goatee, hair, eye brows, nose and facial expressions.
Now if we could just get Garza to say, “One strike, two strikes, three strikes you’re out…ah,ah,ah” with a flicker of the lights and a lightning crash in the background we’d have a heck of a marketing ploy to America’s youth. It may be the only way to get future generations of Rays fans outside of this area!
Hahaha Oh Wow

I don't really
like george sherrill as a closer but more of a middle reliever

Left handed people have no idea whatsoever how to wear a hat.
I can't wait until we trade him for a reliever.
Whatever. You wear it hanging off your ear like every other left-handed clown.
I can't wait until we trade him for a reliever.
Well now that you mention it... But I never realized I.... Fuck you!
My mom always told me I was special
ok, ahead in the count 0-2 twice.
get it done
hahahahahahaha
hilarious. blow a ten run lead in 3 innings. Hilarious

I can't wait until we trade him for a reliever.

R.J will have a post on how the red sox are so similar to us when blowing leads.

Red Sox Fan jumped all over that shit when it happened to us, it's only natural to respond in kind to an even bigger meltdown.
I can't wait until we trade him for a reliever.
And by that, I don't mean go over to OTM and rub it in their face, they didn't do that here.
I can't wait until we trade him for a reliever.
the best the NL has to offer being 1 hit right now by Jason Marquis and the Rockies
the NL sucks, especially offensively.
damn 67 pitches through 7 innings now.
if you want to watch a dominating pitching performance check him out tonight.
Ahha
Papeldouche hates the sox for giving him a BS.

its funny
in a season with a lot of fairly average to above average team. the nats are just god-awful
by RaysTheRoof on Jun 30, 2009 11:53 PM EDT up reply actions
That's pretty true this year, there's a ton of parity unlike last year where it was basically over at the ASB for half the teams
by Transplanted on Jun 30, 2009 11:56 PM EDT up reply actions
at least in the AL, teams are starting to fall out fast.
Baltimore, Cleveland, KC, and Oakland, I would say are definately out. Toronto is on life support despite being 3 games over .500. If we win tomorrow they will be 4 games out of 3rd place in their own division. While they may finish over .500 it will be tough to jump 2 teams.
galaragga pitcing well tonight for Tigers
That’s a dangerous team. I think they will win the central going away
Or, you know, they could trade him for a reliever. I can't wait until they do.
I can't wait until we trade him for a reliever.
im in
percy for mags we can even throw in izzy

Joyce walk-off off of Jackson to win 1-0 in game 7 of the ALCS would make me happy.
I wish Jackson nothing but the best, unless we are facing him.
