DRaysBAY Softball Game!!!
It was an idea brought up around the World Series and then never again.
Whatever happened to it?
I know that we had some ideas of where and when to play this game... Mostly everyone agreed on springtime but that has come and gone.
Let's figure this out and make it happen.
Any ideas on when and where?
Oh and just because no FanPost is complete without it.1. Upton's Lazy
2. DFA Navarro
3. Maddon's an idiot
4. Hitter Protection FTW!!!!!
Until Next Time,
FU@K OFF!!

I remember committing to, then having to back out of it.
If I recall correctly, there were only about 10 people willing to participate, which isn’t enough (or even close enough) to fielding 2 teams. I recon the minimum to do something like this is 7 per side.

I think part of the problem was the timing.
It was the off-season and most people were tuckered out.

Yo
Brad Ziegler had a scoreless inning streak. Brad Ziegler had not met BJ Upton.

If this game is played in September I will definitely take part
Maybe I’m just an old fashioned BJ suck-off-er. (Good call Sandy)

If we get enough people here I'm sure we can find other friends to fill out the gaps
In my softball league alone I can find a few guys that would play virtually anytime

Another question would be location
If it’s anywhere close to home I’d think about it.

I'm not in, but I can suggest a location
Helen Howarth Park in Pinellas Park has a nearly full-size baseball field that would probably do nicely; regulation basepaths and distance from mound to home plate, the outfield is only slightly small (I think CF is 395’ from home plate), and the field is relatively new and in good shape.

Also, I suggest in the future that you go ahead and come back here as TheUltimateBucFan instead of hiding behind an alt. account.

Well if we are playing softball 395' is extremely far
Nobody would be hitting it out of that.
