Wow, he might be a major leaguer next year.
Talk about fast track.

hurray for good cheap arms!
The Rays are quietly assembling some very high-upside bullpen arms in McGee, Gorgen, and Meloan. Hopefully some of these guys, if not all, pan out and give the Rays some great arms for the pen.

Better question:
Anybody got a scouting report on what he throws?

.
Gorgen works primarily off his mid 80’s cutter and a fastball in the low 90’s. It would be nice to see him develop a trustworthy off speed pitch to increase the chance of future success at higher levels.

depends how good that cutter is
Dan Haren added a cutter to his arsenal and that might propel him to the NL Cy Young. And we all know how good Rivera’s cutter is. Is there any more information about his pitches out there, in terms of plus, plus-plus pitch, etc? Obviously results are saying something, and we’ll know more once he reaches higher levels of competition.
