Jeff Niemann leads the league in Run Support by nearly a whole run.
I'm sure most of you know this already, and I wouldn't doubt it if this was already posted but...

It seems to me that part of this can account for the other team's pitcher.
For most of the pitchers on the bottom, there’s a good amount of 1 and 2 pitchers, so a lot of times teams are gonna try and counter with one of their top shelf pitchers, and thus relative run support is smaller.
Won't
this come down a bit, when he improves and gets deeper into starts?
Come ON Pat the Bust, Navi can not have more homers than you
That's a misleading stat
I prefer to use RS/IP that you can find at baseball-reference.com. That stat shows how many runs were scored while that pitcher was in the game. Go to and scroll down to sort by player.
Niemann in 7th in the league….Kazmir is 5th and Sonnanstine is 3rd.

I like how Clayton Richard was second in the league in least IP/GS at 4.9
Then he rattles off a gem last night.
I can't help that I make some things look easier than they really are.
