Maybe it's my old school upbringining, but i can't

believe how many times we strike out

Years ago, you might have one guy on a team who whiffed 20-25% of the time, but this Rays team could supply A/C in a stadium w/o it

anyone besides me hoping that Dillon gets DFA'd instead of Thayer being sent down

when Shouse comes up? The pen just got taxed yesterday and taking away a guy who can go multiple innings with a loogy (to pair with another loogy already in the pen) doesn’t give me much confidence if Price, Kaz or whoever has another 3-4 innings performance. I wasn’t a big fan of Dillon being on the roster instead of a guy like Elliot Johnson for PR reasons but now with 2 loogy’s I’d rather just not have the extra position player.

Either way Shouse will help

i called for another LHP today, but if Thayer is sent down Choate and Shouse are both situational

I'll get a jump on the Yankee series

We’re basically 7 GB, a sweep is in order, anything less than a series win, we are pretty much a WC chaser

Baltimore still up 6-2 in the 9th

only 4 back out of the road trip wouldn’t be that bad, just got to get the job done at home.

MLBtr has 4 top 10 ten dodger spects including #1 Andrew Lambo

and maybe Kershaw

if he is there, Indians win

1. James Shields 2. Scott Kazmir 3. Matt Garza 4. David Price 5. Jeff Niemann

I'd bet Billingsley

Indians would do it too, they’re top heavy with LHP

by Raymondo on Jul 26, 2009 4:45 PM EDT up reply actions

doesn't Martinez lose a good amount of value if he becomes a 1B exclusivley.

I don’t really see why the Dodgers would trade for Martinez? Nor do they have the P that Cleveland would want unless they give up Kershaw, which I don’t see happening.

by Dbullsfan on Jul 26, 2009 4:20 PM EDT up reply actions

any idea how bad he was injured

any chance we can move Kazmir for Salty or Teagarden?

by Dbullsfan on Jul 26, 2009 5:10 PM EDT up reply actions

Not sure if this is sarcasm...

But why would Kazmir have value?

He’d be more of a salary dump then anything. Can he really get more than a C+ prospect at this point?

Potential to be a shit load

Loney
Kershaw/Billingsley possibly to go with
Class AA third baseman Josh Bell
Class AA outfielder Andrew Lambo
Class AAA starter Scott Elbert
Class AAA right-hander Josh Lindblom as prospects who are being discussed. All of the prospects are in the Dodgers’ Top 10, according to Baseball America, with Lambo coming into the season as the Dodgers’ top prospect.
.

1. James Shields 2. Scott Kazmir 3. Matt Garza 4. David Price 5. Jeff Niemann

by joeybw on Jul 26, 2009 4:47 PM EDT reply actions

all of those guys would be a lot

especially if Kershaw is involved. I don’t think I would give up Kershaw and Lambo for both Lee and Martinez much less the other guys too.

Ok I would say nothing is imminent

Now the Phillies are “seriously negotiating” also

1. James Shields 2. Scott Kazmir 3. Matt Garza 4. David Price 5. Jeff Niemann

way too much...

Cliff Lee isn’t that much. everyone is getting way too carried away with all of this just like every year

Heh, heres a real shocker

from rotoworld

A Dodgers spokesman said there was no truth to the report that the Dodgers and Indians were discussing a Cliff Lee-Victor Martinez megadeal.
That’s what we’d expect the spokesman to say, but it is telling that no one else has followed up the story since FOXSports.com’s Ken Rosenthal reported it earlier this afternoon. Perhaps there was nothing to it at all.

1. James Shields 2. Scott Kazmir 3. Matt Garza 4. David Price 5. Jeff Niemann

On October 3rd and if the Rays are out of it

Burrell after a season long slump will rip a double, to which Staats will quip, “that’s a good sign”
