According to Yahoo!’s Gordon Edes, Tampa Bay is trying to get Texas involved as a third team in discussions with Cleveland as part of the Rays’ attempt to acquire Cliff Lee, presumably to add a Rangers pitching prospect to the package they’d offer the Indians.

I'm sure Kazmir would love to pitch closer to home.

Rejuvenate = Add comedy?
Brad Ziegler had a scoreless inning streak. Brad Ziegler had not met BJ Upton.
Hopefully they want Kaz
That ballpark will add a whole new category of things he can complain about after bad starts
I wasn't on board at the time, but i wonder what the reaction here
was, when he signed his contract extension
Happy.
Why wouldn’t we have been? He was coming off a great season.

He's said some things that rub people the wrong way.
No matter how bad Navarro is, he’s not blaming his performance on the fans.

I'm sure Kaz is frustrated
I’d hate to see him go on to a great career, and Lee is just a memory here
He's allowed to be frustrated
But common sense says don’t bite the hand that feeds you. Kazmir complaining about the fans is nothing new, yet he hates bandwagon fans. It makes no sense.

He also criticizes the fans, but acts insulted that the Rays consider trading him

That kind of shit doesn't affect me
Many stars, Ted Williams have had a love/hate relationship with the fans
Ted Williams isn't averaging almost a HR given up per appearance in the past two years

Don't really care to
Of all the things that affect you, don’t know why a poorly performing player blaming the fans doesn’t make the list. But whatever

I don't hate Kaz by any means
but the excuses are often laughable

The excuses are the problem with Kazmir
After every poor start he makes another excuse. I’m all for honestly and I want to know ‘reasons’. The problem is he makes so many outrageous claims that I’m sure some legitimate reasons for poor performance gets lost in the shuffle.
It's not just one comment
He’s had a history of bitching about attendance in the wrong way. I understand not being happy about no one showing up, but don’t say you couldn’t keep from giving up the long ball since some of the seats were empty
by Albertrayon on Jul 26, 2009 10:41 PM EDT up reply actions
I don't really care either, but some here obviously do.
And struggles certainly aren’t winning him any snuggles.

That pretty much sums it up for me.
Kaz hasn’t given people a reason to get excited lately, so it kind of ticks me off when he blames poor performance on low attendance.

I don't think anyone equals Wheeler there.
And Percy has a whole room dedicated to hate mail.

Big deal
All three are well behind BJ and PTB

I'm taking your advice Zo--no more rush to judgement
But PTB has me boiling—now he isn’t even giving a good AB
That was a pretty awful AB today
Nonetheless he has been doing better, and the Rays are paying him handsomely so we may as well hope he continues to turn the corner

Guessing Cleveland didn't like Morrow.

That's simply speculation.
Between Texas and Tampa, you should get at least one good young arm.

Absolutely
I’d like two. The best thing would be to just sit back and wait this one out but COME ON.
Steel Nick
Davis, and idfk, Holland?

No Free Agent pitcher in their right mind would ever sign in Texas
Trading for pitchers who are under control like Kazmir is the way to go

What would Texas get out of it?
At first I thought Salty to us and they take Vmart, but I figure VMart would cost way more than Salty and they don’t want to take more salary.
