Rays Live Streaming Video Talk Show
I would like to invite any interested Rays Fans to participate in a project we have recently started.
A group of Tampa Bay Fans (including myself) (who likely don't have the talent for a talk show) are putting one together anyway. There will be 2 websites - one of which will be a live streaming video website dedicated to Tampa Bay sports talk. At first this will be standard definition but we already have the capability for high definition.
The website is up and running but we haven't gone live yet and all equipment is already in place. We are planning a Rays oriented show (perhaps from 5 or 6 until 7 pm) that has email and telephone call-ins as well as live chat. We will also have other shows including a show for all Tampa Bay sports that will run just prior to the Rays oriented show. We already have some planned shows from restaurants around the time of training camp and at least one show that will be broadcasting live from an away Rays game location (Boston in September).
The other website (TampaLiveSports.com) will be a live streaming project to broadcast high school football games and other high school and college games live and/or recorded. This will start broadcasting in August with a preview show and will offer Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough and some Hernando county games that are of interest. This can expand to whatever is of interest to viewers.
Anyone who is interested in this project in any way - helping to host a show, being a guest, technical help, persons with contacts at high schools, etc. you can reach me at <!-- e -->producer@tampalivesports.com<!-- e -->. (I just wanted to be a producer so that I could buy a hockey team and screw it up). We will be having sponsors but for the most part will not be a huge profit generating venture - more of a hobby.
You can also reply here to comment or ask questions, I appreciate feedback.

Interesting
Isn’t there a local cable channel dedicated to local sports?

More than cable
More than Catch 47, we will be able to do more than just a “Game of the Week” – capable of streaming multiple channels at once with multiple options of games. In addition, with Flash playing, these will be able to be viewed on mobile phones by the end of the year, and with the 4G network, in cars by 2010. Cable usually cannot be viewed at work or outside of the Tampa Bay area, thus allowing the hardly working and distant families of players to be able to watch an important game of their relatives. It will be far more portable, with the ability to set up a portable studio with only wi-fi or cellular with the ability to broadcast in HD directly to the web. It will also allow communications students and amateurs an easier start with more autonomy and will allow viewers to comment as catch 47 does not allow call-ins, emails or chat.
