I'm sure Hernandez being there made Price's fastball/slider better.

Saved that wild pitch by Balfour.
I’m not so certain Navvy gets that one.

Defense has nothing to do with pitching.
He’s getting credit for Price throwing the ball to spots.
Tools Whore
Exactly.
Price locates down and away and Kennedy remarks about how well Hernandez framed that pitch, well when you don’t have to move the glove…

have we talked to the injuns about Shoppach?
he went to the plate with bases loaded twice so far today.
first time up he homers,
then he walks.
thats 2 GIDP for navi.
plus they have Carlos Santana tearing up AA.
lets get er done. or Napoli, or Mathis. or Salty.
The Blue Jays will look up and shout,"Save us!"
And David Price will say,“No.”

And Gabe Kapler will say, "No, you nutjobs don't understand...
…you’re stuck in here with ME."
So long, Sweet Lime!
Nice!
Another one run victory. At least our bullpen couldn’t blow this one, though they tried their best.

They all threw good except for Nelson
Our bullpen has been pitching very well for a while now
Kap-rilla???
I'm not sure how I feel about the wide plate, it seemed consistent, but we couldn't get a low strike to save our lives

Are these normalized graphs
ever reviewed by MLB or umpires after the season? Wonder what kind of feedback they use to grade out the umps

That's kind of crazy.
Wasn’t the change-up that was the problem against Texas, though. Maybe he just does a better job locating his fastball without having to think about it.
Gameday didn't classify any, but there were 5.
Check the speed v. movement charts on Brooks, five pitches moved as much as fastballs and had velos sub-85.

It could be a slider

No it couldn't.

Sliders and fastballs move very differently.
Thank you Toronto for participating in the 2009 Major League Baseball regular season contest.
You won’t be moving on to the next round, but we have some nice consolation prizes for you, as well as a copy of the home game.

15,252.
Which is much more in line for a Toronto game. This is a Thursday, and a getaway game. That’s huge attendance.

ERR not a getaway game.
Well, it’s getaway for Toronto, but regardless, really high attendance for a game like this.
