Darin Downs Suffers Fractured Skull; is Alert, Conscious, in ICU

Biscuits pitcher Darin Downs is in intensive care with a fractured skull at Birmingham's St. Vincent's Hospital after being hit by a line drive Monday.
Downs is alert and conscious, and doctors are monitoring some cranial bleeding and swelling, team spokesman Jon Laaser said.
Our prayers are with Downs and his family.

I don't see how a guy hasn't been brained with a shattered bat yet.
Adam Dunn at least is trying to be accountable.
