With Mel Martinez stepping down from his senate seat, the state governor's office is tabbing various candidates as a replacement. The latest one to be mentioned, Congressman C.W. Bill Young. I'm a registered Democrat, but I really like Congressman Young and think he'd be an excellent choice. Remember, no politics.

Before GM went bankrupt, they announced that they were going to sell the G8 as a ute. A ute, if you don't know, is a car body with a truck bed, like an El Camino or Ranchero. Well, they went bankrupt, and decided that selling the G8 ute here was too expensive (they were probably right). But unfortunately, they had already shipped the necessary parts to badge-engineer the Holden as a Pontiac. Shipping those parts back would be expensive, so what did GM do? They're going to badge-engineer them anyway and and sell them as special edition Monaros in Australia.
