Jose Lobaton made his debut
0-4 with a K. seriously why did we pick this guy up, it’s not like we needed the catching depth.
because both the catchers on 25 man roster suck
i wish they would call up Jaso or Riggans (idk if hes still hurt) and get rid of Hernandez

I'm not sure there is another team in baseball with 5 catchers on their 40 man
and I’m about positive there isn’t a team in baseball with 5 shitty catchers on their 40 man.
I know he isn't one of our guys but Jason Heyward is hitting .417 in 23 games in AA alst 15 bb 9 k
he is going to be nasty for the Braves.
6 strikeouts in 3 innings at least

wow Jennings has some serious black stallion promise in him
he reminds a lot of Upton, playing shallow and making tough catches in the gap look easy.
what lineup do you think well see next year
Yes!

depends on how Jennings does over the next month but my guess is we start off with
Joyce/Upton/Gabe’s in the outfield for a couple months and than Joyce/Jennings/Upton
Longoria/Brignac/Zobrist/Hughes (unless we can’t dump Pena)
who knows at catcher and DH with the money being saved in traded C.C, Barty, Pena, and Kazmir we should be able to land something decent either through FA or a trade for these two spots.
rotation should be something like this
Garza, Shields, Niemann, Davis, Price
No need for the Gabes next year if BenZo keeps himself as is.

i was thinkin
joyce/upton/zo in the outfield
longo/bartlett/briggy/pena/ catcher better than Navarro
Sheilds/Garza/Price/Neimann or (Helickson)/Davis

not sure if we would be able to afford it
but with the prospects we get back from selling off Kaz, C.C, etc… If we can go after Adrian Gonzalez if he becomes available that would be amazing. Hughes could DH
i would like to get rid of Burrell
Aybar could be DH for a fraction of the price or like you said hughes or i wish we could get Jeff Clement
Yes!

a Hughes/Burrell platoon wouldn't be the worst thing
but than you are looking at having 1 guy who can’t play in the field or a back-up first baseman on your bench.
dreaming but
RF Upton
2B Zobrist
3B Longoria
1B A. Gonzalez
LF Joyce
DH Hughes
C Salty or Teagarden
SS Brignac
CF Jennings
would be nice
We can do better than Hughes at DH

he should be back in a couple weeks
my guess is he may hang out in Durham until September though. I’m not sure they will send down Dillon for him, although I think they should.
I'm not sure they can send Dillon down

well they would DFA him and I doubt anyone would claim him
and so what if they do, EJ is just as good.
We traded Adam Kennedy for that man, who is playing a vital role in the playoffs hopes of the Oakla---hahahahaha
Allllmost made it through with a straight face

Hughes isn't DH material.
He struck out ~30% of his time in AA and AAA as a 24/25-year-old. He hits for some power, but his BABIP is also over .400. There’s really no way he replicates that production in the majors and I’m guessing he has a hole in his swing if he’s whiffing that much in levels he’s old for.

Wow, another excellent outing for Jacob partridge in GCL

Every time I see his line I have to stop myself and remind me the GCL can't hit
But I’m still rather bullish on Partridge.

Average age for AAA prospects is about 23 - 24
Average age for the league is much older, because there are a ton of 30 year old AAAA-type journeymen.
