Pat Burrell before 8/5: .225/.331/.361, 7HR
Pat Burrell last 10 games (8/5 - Present): .40PA, 9H 3BB, 243/.300/.648 5HR
Obviously not there yet, but it's beginning to look like Burrell is coming around to AL pitching.
I'm not going to break him down, but it looks like Edwin Jackson has settled down to what I think is his true talent level. His K/BB ratio the first couple of months was close to 4/1, which are ace-like numbers for a strikeout pitcher. Since the beginning of July, his K/BB ratio is 1.77/1, which looks more like a strikeout pitcher whose slotted as a 3rd starter, which is what I would expect Edwin to be on that pitching staff. I wouldn't expect anything considerably better then that going forward for the rest of the year.
The Japanese have managed set a computer up to calculate Pi to 2.5 trillion digits. I fear what will become of the world when we finally reach the end of that equation.

It's funny.
He’s legitimately the best player in the world, but most non-Liverpool fans/pundits LOATHE him, so he never gets his due.
He does it all. He’s just as dynamic an attacking player as Kaka, Ronaldo, Messi, Alves, or anyone else, but he can defend, play as a winger, play as a true central midfielder, he’s a wonderful passer, he takes their corners, and he’s even played right back on occasion. Simply the best player in the world. Paul Scholes in his prime is kind of similar – the best player in the world, though absolutely no one talked about him, particularly since he didn’t get to sit behind a forward and show off his offensive skills like Gerrard now gets to and Zidane did before him.
+1 to everything you said, but he's also 1000% Liverpool. Turning down Barca in his prime to play for his boyhood club, the club that bred him and blood him.

I don't see the uproar
It’s a misdemeanor for a fight that didn’t go anywhere. Boys will be be boys. The resisting arrest charge is something that a non-methed out white man wouldn’t get. I only skimmed the Trib’s article, but it sounds like he was told to get out of a car and he didn’t feel he legally had to. Probably ran his mouth a little, but if it was Barrett Ruud he doesn’t get that charge.

The bigger issue is the fact that he keeps getting into these situations
the fight at the symposium, the fight in practice, the fines last year. He had a history of struggles in college with authority and pot (not that most college kids don’t, but he’s got more media on him). It’s dumb stuff, but you keep adding up the “dumb” stuff and Goodell has a field day with it.

Clubs eyeing Carl Crawford believe the Rays are becoming less likely to deal him. Desmond Jennings could become the Rays’ left fielder, but they’d probably have to be overwhelmed to part with Crawford.
