Rays 2010 Master Schedule Released
http://mlb.mlb.com/schedule/index.jsp?c_id=tb&m=4&y=2010
No times filled in yet, but we know who we face what days.
We open the season at home on Tuesday, April 6, vs. Baltimore, followed by the Yankees in the opening homestand. That is followed by a season-long ten-game road trip to Baltimore (3), Boston (4) and the White Sox (3).
Our Interleague matchups have a western flavor. We go to Houston on Memorial Day weekend (May 21-23), then in June we host Florida (6/11-13), go to Atlanta (15-17) and Florida (18-20), then host San Diego (22-24) and Arizona (25-27).
Our first visit to Target Field doesn't come until July 1 for a four-game trip to Minnesota.
Our longest homestand is 11 games, July 26-August 5, with Detroit (4), the Yankees (3) and Minnesota (4).
Our Season finale is Wednesday, September 29, again vs. Baltimore, followed by a four-game roadie to Kansas City to end the season.
We have Mondays off all June, four consecutive, and a period of four consecutive Thursdays off Aug-Sep.
For one thing, I'll be at all three Atlanta games. That's my family's timeshare week in northern Georgia.

Home interleague games kind of suck
but at least the teams aren’t that good. I am going to try and go to the atlanta series

Been wanting a road trip myself...
And I think going up to Minnesota next summer would be awesome! Maybe going to Houston for that game on my birthday would be cool, too. Either or both scenarios would be fun.
If it's cool like it was this past summer, then it'll be a wonderful time for a Minnesota road trip

It's not unprecedented
Usually a couple matchups take place on Monday, while most of the Monday starters don’t play on Tuesday.

I prefer it
Better then having an off day tuesday after the first game. I still don’t understand why they do this.

In places where rain could be a problem
I believe it is to be able to postpone it a day.

and then get rained out on wednesday or thursday
Why don’t they just have the off day thursday

Somewhat dissapointed
Since they hadn’t played San Francisco since ‘04, and were slated to play the west this year, I was tentatively planning a trip to see McCovey Cove for the first time. It’s hard to get excited about them playing Houston again. On the bright side a trip to Atlanta will be much cheaper.

Since the NL Central has six teams, they have to arrange it weird sometimes

Damnit!
Rays play on the road on my b-day again. I wanted to have my first legal beer at a Rays game.

Also
None of the scheduled interleague games would qualify as ‘prime’ games in and of themselves. Unless they’re bringing some hugely popular acts in the concert series, I predict we see fewer prime games next year.

I was hoping for a road trip to Milwaukee.

I thought the season started a week late this year because of the WBC, but i guess it'll be a permanent thing
I prefer the season ends in October, but i guess that doesn’t happen again
No, that's why Spring Training STARTED early
Didn’t notice the games began well into February?
The season itself actually starts a day earlier next year, and will drag earlier day-by-day until it’s March 30 or 31 or so, then get pushed back a week again. Same way Memorial Day, Labor Day and Thanksgiving float.
