Grant Balfour's Impressive August
I regret missing this the first time around, but take a look:
April: 37 BF, 19% K, 22% uBB
May: 67 BF, 22% K, 10% uBB
June: 49 BF, 27% K 8% uBB
July: 51 BF, 22% K, 10% uBB
August: 47 BF, 28% K, 2% uBB
Seriously, that's about as good as you can for from any pitcher.

But he also
gave up 2 home runs in the 11 innings he pitched, each of which blew a Rays’ lead and saddled him with a loss.

that's the beauty of stats usage, only use those which help your case
you and i both know that for a late inning reliever the result is all that matters
