B.J. Upton Injures Left Ankle in Collision

Upton walked off the field on his own following a pretty severe twist. The collision occured with Carl Crawford as both were ranging for a fly ball.

I'd rather not rush him back and risk a more serious injury.

The season is all but over for us now. If we were 3 games back then ok, bring back BJ. But all things considered it’s not worth the risk to rush him back. If BJ is ok and is cleared to play, then great I’d love to have him back.

What he did is something that everyone has done in a pickup basketball game

Ice it after the game, stay off it for a day and then tape the shit out of it and get out there. The only thing that would concern me is hurting the other leg while compensating for the weaker ankle.

Ankle injuries sucks….I had my torn ligaments misdiagnosed for like 3 months…

Guy was like 5 inches taller and it was a double team.

Foot got left behind and twisted badly…torn some ligaments in my ankle :(

Taller helps you get low and push, I hurt my ankles quite a bit playing soccer, but ice and tape our all I ever needed. Well that and 800 MG Motrin

Yes it does suck.

Also going through PT for 3 months…still complaining about pain then going to an ankle doctor and getting an MRI that says “Oh you shouldn’t have been walking for 3 months and you need major surgery” was GREAT
