Arbitration Figures
Biz of Baseball has compiled all the arbitration offers from both sides at the link listed above. In addition to giving both offers, it includes updated service time numbers, 2009 Salary, and seems like they will be updating as each player gets resolved. Pretty interesting stuff. One notable that jumped right off the map to me was the first player listed, Edwin Jackson, putting in an offer of $6.25M while Arizona thought he would be worth $4.6M. Pretty large spread there, and it's one fight that I'm glad we were able to avoid. With a low ERA the arbitrators might just side with the big fella. I'd much rather shore up an OF-depth weakness for 400K than make a #3 pitcher our highest paid Starter.
It's also interesting that the Rays and Matty Garza put in the exact same figure. I wonder if they read DRB and thought R.J.'s quote was pretty good. After looking over this a little deeper, it appears that they don't have all players, but still seems like an interesting site and should be good to track other signings.
