Rays Owner Stuart Sternberg Thanks the DRaysBay Community

For as long as I can remember, Rays majority owner Stuart Sternberg has been open and supportive of this very site and its community (even commenting once). So, when he asks for me to thank the community on his behalf, I see it as a mark of the poster quality more than anything. Important people are reading the posts and comments on a daily basis, and I think that should create a sense of pride. With all that being said, I'd be remiss if I didn't quote Sternberg directly:

I'd also like to think that I'm not alone when I say most of us are pretty thankful about Sternberg owning this team.

The offseason under this regime is infinitely more exciting than watching the predecessors roll out whichever predictable move was next. I’m a bigger fan and a larger percentage of my budget goes to the Rays since these guys took over.

Leeds is really remarkable.

It’s a testament to the quality of the site, and the quality of the fans on here. I know LOTS of people who are completely ignorant about a lot of baseball things, and I read a lot if ignorant tripe floating around online. To have a site like this devoted to a team which I love is an astounding privilege and I need to stop taking it for granted.

Also: this ownership group is effing amazing. I mean, really effing amazing. I hope Stu bookmarks this thread so that every time people turn retarded (TRADING KAZMIR IS FORFEITING THE SEASON OMGWTFBBQ) he can come here and realize that there are a ton of people who respect and admire the job they’ve done.
