Yeah BJ Upton was the 5th best offensive player on a team where only 5 players played everyday on the offensive side of the ball, and Upton being one of them.
I can't wait until Matt Garza wins a Cy Young with another team after the Rays trade him
Josh Freeman is beast!

Proximity to Majors, Moore has a greater ceiling but carries much more downside risk as well at this point.

My thoughts exactly.
Hell yeah it is.
Any amount of points can be scored week to week. well, besides 1 point. Any number is as likely to be reached as another, since there’s only one of each number, each has the same chance to be hit. IT’s how the syetemof averages works.

The downside is his control falls apart and he doesn't make the majors

I first voted for Jennings, but then remembered that I liked Moore more.
Both are great, but Moore is a top 7 or 8 prospect for me.
Matt Moore in the second half just exploded and his upside puts him here IMO
He was absolutely amazing. His slow starts are a bit of a concern but I think he gets that figured out and he could be an ace one day…Possibly follow Price when his contract is up.
Some Moore vs McGee comparison
in 2007 (year McGee turned 21) he mostly played in the FSL with 5 games in the Southern league. 2010 Moore turned 21 and pitched all year in the FSL.
McGee – 140 IP, 105 hits, 52 BB, 175 K, 0.79 GO/AO, .207 Avg, 3.15 ERA
Moore – 144 IP, 109 hits, 61 BB, 208 K, 1.11 GO/AO, .210 Avg, 3.36 ERA
McGee was ranked 37th prior to that season and15th overall by BA after 2007.
Moore was ranked 35th prion to 2010, so a top 15 seems likely.
So basically the reason I like McGee more than Moore
Is purely because he is MLB ready now. I’m curious whether they believe his immediate future is as a closer, or whether he goes back to AAA to build up innings to be a starter in 2012.
The difference for me is not in the stats, but in the stuff.
Moore has much better stuff than McGee.
Agreed.
Although I like Jennings alot, Moore has a good chance of winning K awards in the majors. In the beginning of the season, he had mechanical issues though, if that makes you feel better.
I guess that is where being able to watch a player can help
I had a chance to watch Hellickson in person in Durham and loved his stuff, composure, and the whole package. I’ve said all along he is the best pitcher I’ve ever seen in Durham and would compete only with Longoria for best player ever regardless of position.
Do you guys want me to add all these guys next turn?
I was thinking of the fourth spot, but I will do it if you want it….
For what it is worth
Moore was voted the fourth best pitching prospect today on minorleagueball. Hellickson was number one. Now this shouldn;t change your vote, but I just want to show you how highly he is regarded. Somewhere in the top 10 prospects in baseball.
