I think the ad strikes exactly the right tone, direct, simple, honest and not maudlin.
As for specific memories, there are too many to select just one, but I will do so anyway. I was in the ball park when Crawford hit the grand slam in the 7th inning with the Devil Rays down 3-2 against the Yankees. An electric moment. The Yankees behind Wang had just gotten 2 runs in the top of the inning to go ahead of Kazmir. With 2 outs and 2 on in the bottom of the 7th, NY intentionally walked Baldelli to bring in Myers, their lefty specialist, to face Carl. Boom, deep into the right field seats. The Rays went on to win 6-4.
That was 2007. The Devil Rays were not supposed to do that to the Yankees that year.
Going 8-10 against them that year showed me that they weren't all that far off. It was exciting to almost break even against them after getting beaten up so much over the years.

I agree with R.J. when I say my favorite CC moment is right after they clinched the ALCS
Carl came running in from left screaming, pumping his fists, jumping around, and generally acting completely overjoyed by the moment. He’d been here the longest, and suffered through all the losing, and you could tell he REALLY appreciated the moment.

Trying to get a bit of tv coverage....
Hi there…I work for ABC Action News and have been on this siite for quite awhile. In spite of being put off by Crawford’s press conference, I was really impressed by the class and efforts in putting this together. I mentioned it to my news director and our sports guy, and he’s trying to put it on the air later tonight. It certainly shows the passion and love for the Rays not often shown by the national media. Not sure which show, but it’s channel 11 and probably the 6pm newscast. Happy Holidays.

Along with many other fans, CC was always my favorite.
My favorite memories are of him stealing home. At the time, the (Devil) Rays were terrible, and CC was one of the lone bright spots. Him stealing home once a season was usually the most exciting thing you could see.

Funny, A-Gon put an ad in the paper to thank the fans in San Diego, went out of his way to praise them in his press conference. A-Gon says he does not have a deal yet and makes 6 million in 2011.
The fans take out an ad to thank Carl Crawford, who just got a 142 milion contract. I don’t remember Crawford saying much about the Rays fans in his press conference ( of course, not many of them showed up at the games so maybe he had good reason, but still, he had some loyal fans).
