I'm kind of dissapointed. I want to see the UFL succeed (and things are going to get much more exciting once the NFL has their lockout), but there's less of a personal investment now that the Rays don't have ownership stake in the Florida squad.
I miss George Steinbrenner. He was the man responsible for keeping the Yankees competitive.
For one, the UFL is not intended to compete with the NFL
It is meant to supplement. I’ve heard the goal being “the NFL for non-NFL markets”. That’s why they’re moving the New York Sentinels to Hartford and the California Redwoods to Sacramento.
The UFL will do fine. Attendance was better than expected in Orlando and Las Vegas, and they are expanding to six teams for 2010. I heard San Antonio and Los Angeles as major rumors.

I still believe it has great potential to be a AAA of sorts for the NFL
and if anything, it should do better than the NBDL
I went to a PBL game the other night
Actually had a lot of fun and the talent wasn’t bad.
