2010 DRB Player Profiles: Matt Moore, Dioner Navarro, Jeff Niemann, Carlos Pena, Fernando Perez, David Price, Aneury Rodriguez, Sean Rodiguez, & James Shields

For those who don't follow the DRB Twitter feed (shame on you), here's the new deal. We're 95% done with the annual. Right now, the word count is just shy of 45,000. Last year's was 26,000 words. I'm confident enough in packaging and finalizing this thing within the next 24-32 hours. So confident that we're pushing the release date up to Thursday late morning/early afternoon. That may change if something unforeseen happens, but yeah, this is going to be worthwhile.

Moore's fastball is really in the 90-93 range now

And his curveball is a legit swing-and-miss pitch right now.

And if needed he can still hi mid 90s right?

There are fantastic snapshots! - Clever and informative.

Somewhere the Rotowire people are quaking in their booties. :)

I would be a little worried about Niemann as a third starter

He gives up a pretty decent amount of contact, he’s not a big-time ground ball pitcher, and his ERA and FIP were solidly better than his tERA and xFIP marks, he got some help from a lucky HR/FB. He’s a solid back of the rotation option, but he needs to get his GB rate back up to the 47% mark that it was in AAA if he wants to be more than that.

I like baseball.
