Edwar Ramirez?
Dave Cameron of U.S.S. Mariner tweets that it'll be interesting to see which sabermetric-friendly team will ink recently-DFA'd pitcher Edwar Ramirez. Cameron's bet is on Tampa Bay.

what has he done that makes him better?
i wouldn’t mind him on a minor deal, but let’s not bash the blog’s whipping boy to make your case
Career splits vs RHB:
Ramirez: 12.49 K/9, 4.03 BB/9, 3.87 xFIP, 12.1 % LD%, 34.6 % GB%, and 53.3 % FB%.
Wheeler: 8.84 K/9, 2.15 BB/9, 3.57 xFIP, 18.9 % LD%, 35.8 % GB%, and 45.4 % FB%.
So I guess he isn’t really better. Maybe he’s a little better now. My thoughts were merely that he’s a guy that has high Ks against RHB with a lot of FBs. So pretty similar pitchers, and Wheeler is historically better against LHBs.
