Ugh

so not only did they play that, but they had to talk about it afterwards?

Yikes.

Man.

Delmon Young has lost a ton of weight. I didn’t even recognize him when he came to the plate. I hope he has a monster year.

I made a joke about a player on the Rays. I must not be a real fan! So hilarious. Don't ban me, bro.

But he's such a nice person and wonderful teammate.

James Shields

does not strike me as the type that would be particularly prone to “over-thinking” on the mound.

I find that odd.

Explain?

Wills and Freed were talking about

Garza and Shields last season, and that Hickey believes both of them struggled at various times last year with thinking too much while they were on the mound.

Wills and Freed just said there more cuts today.

They didn’t elaborate as to whom was cut. They went to commercial. I am sure we’ll find out when they get back from the break.

According to The Heater.

UPDATE, 12:41: The Rays made three more cuts today, reassigning to minor-league camp LHP R.J. Swindle, LHP Jason Cromer and C Craig Albernaz. The camp roster is now at 52.

Thank God Dave Wills isn’t as bad as Chip Caray.

I think even Michael Kay isn’t as bad as Caray.

Oh hey look, a starter isn't getting run support and gives a lead back after the team ties it in the previous half inning.

Who would’ve thunk it.

Perez with an error.

Drops an easy fly ball. Run scores. Bases still juiced. One out.

To his credit.

Balfour should have gotten out of this inning without giving up a run. Colina dropped an easy out, and Perez/Kapler couldn’t agree to catch an easy fly ball.

This game isn't surprising to me

Yesterday that was more Michigan sucking hard on the defense. Turner had a great look and nailed it. They should win today if they stop messing around.

I'd imagine so.

Maddon had him face righties like 2/3rds of the time last year. Lots of PA versus Lowell and Bay.

by R.J. Anderson on Mar 13, 2010 3:32 PM EST up reply actions

Yes.

And Wheeler takes a lot for being paid $3MM, but if you look at the major leaguers getting paid more than that, the list is insanely long. It’s a credit to the Rays that most of their relievers come cheaply, but his salary is not even close to being out of line.

Ohio State

this game today is EXACTLY like yesterday’s game. Buckeyes trailing 66-64, with the ball and under 30 ticks left.
