Hey cool dudes, it's your buddy, me. Now that the fantasy league is basically full, we need to discuss scoring.

The only things in stone are that it's roto, and that the draft is on the 29th at 9.

So, what positions should we do? How many players? What scoring categories?

My suggestion would be to have C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, LF, CF, RF, DH, 1B/3B, OF and Util. and on the pitchers side, 3 starters, 2 relievers, and 2 flex. Also have 4 bench positions shared between pitchers and batters, and 2 d/l slots.

Please tell my why I'm stupid.

As for scoring my suggestions are to go 6x6:

OBP, SLG, HR, SB, RBI, Runs

Wins, Saves, ERA, WHIP, K, K/9

Again, please tell me why I'm stupid.

I'm not going to do well in this league, so I don't care what roster makeups or scoring we use.

I haven’t played a Roto league in years and I am not fond of the daily roster updates.

Unclear explanation to follow:

Say you have 12 total stat categories (as we do here) and 12 teams (as we do here):

Each category assigns a point value to each team, with the person who leads the category getting 12 points, and the person in last place getting 1 point. at the end of the year the person with the most total points wins (with a maximum of 144 (12 X 12) ).

Actually if you were naming it after her, I'd think you'd want to use "Million Dollar Niger Ellis'"

Everyone rec this so it ends up on the top of the right side.

I like that layout, but maybe 4 starters instead of 3. This pushes our abilities to determine fringe talent (almost every team would have to employ a #5 starter).
