3/20/10 GDT: Minnesota Twins @ Tampa Bay Rays

When: 1:05 PM

Where: Lee County Sports Complex,

Radio: 620 AM WDAE

Rays Pitching Probables: David Price, Grant Balfour, Lance Cormier, Randy Choate, Rafael Soriano

Twins Pitching Probables: Francisco Liriano, Brian Duensing, Jon Rauch

Another sighting of Soriano, which makes me happy.  Also, I'm going to be taking a much longer look at Balfour, Cormier, and Choate today after the news about Howell...

For some reason, I have this fascination with Francisco Liriano.  I had a similar intrigue with Mark Prior and sadly he never returned to his old form, but hopefully Liriano manages to become awesome again.  Or course, just as long as it's not against us.

Shocking news of the day!
For some reason, I have this fascination with Francisco Liriano. I had a similar intrigue with Mark Prior and sadly he never returned to his old form, but hopefully Liriano manages to become awesome again.

Who wasn’t down for Prior dude was nasty and Liriano was dirty before he got hurt. They always just sucker us back into thinking they can be like they once were.

Touche...

I’m suppose I’m not the only one to become enamored with those type of players. Man, they’re so addicting. You want to believe they can still do it, but it’s just never the same…

I love Casey Fossum. Now try and take me seriously.

One scout’s pick for AL Rookie of the Year: RHP Wade Davis, #Rays. 10-8, 3.40 last year in AAA, 2-2, 3.72 in Sept. callup.

I'd be shocked.

It’s hard for pitchers to win the award for w/e reason. My guess would be Santana or someone from Oakland, but the rookie class in the AL doesn’t look that strong this year.

Why you up so early?

No idea.

Add in the fact I woke up at 6am due to my throat bothering me and went to bed at like 2:30. I wish I was asleep.

Balfour, Cormier and Choate will have much to say about the success of this team

I’m sure with the news on JP, Andrew is busy looking for another reliever

ST has not been good for Balfour or Cormier thus far

dictated that I not pick Kansas to win the tourney, because damned near everyone did.

My bracket is crazy. My Final Four was/is Kansas/Kansas St./West Virginia/Texas A&M.

That last one isn’t a mis-print. I hated Duke and Villanova entering this tournament, and had/have both done after the third round.
