Minor League Highlights 4/29
AAA Durham Bulls L 4-0
Heath Phillips went all eight innings for the Bull serving up four runs on eight hits with no walks, while striking out three. Phillips induced 14 ground outs to 6 fly outs. Fernando Perez led off the game with a single for the Bulls, before RA Dickey decided to retire 27 consecutive Bulls. Joe Dillon caught for the Bulls and Desmond Jennings once again did not play with his shoulder injury.
AA Montgomery Biscuits L 8-4
Rayner Oliveros gave up five runs in four innings and the Biscuits never made much of a game out of it. Matt Fields was 2-4 with his sixth double.
A+ Charlotte Stone Crabs W 4-2
Chris Andujar pitched 5.1 shutout innings allowing just two hits and three walks while striking out a pair. He also posted a 8:3 GO/FO ratio. Exciting news as former #1 overall pick Matt Bush made his debut in the organization striking out two in one innings, though he did allow a home run. Josh Satow picked up his third save of the season. The offense was led by Stephen Vogt and Mike Sheridan who both hit their first home runs of the season and Henry Wrigley (BA .380) who was 3-4 on the night. Matt Sweeney was 1-4 with a double, while Tim Beckham was 0-3 with a walk. The good news is Beckham has five walks in the past four games.
A Bowling Green Hot Rods L 2-1
Alex Colome had a tough luck start losing 2-1 but was very impressive going eight innings of two run baseball striking out nine, walking one, and allowing five hits including a home run. He also generated twelve ground outs to just one fly out. The only two hits of the game for the Hot Rods came on a Chris Murrill triple and Brett Nommensen single. Both men stole bases.

I was wondering the same thing
id be even more excited if he was sitting mid 90s
I"m just learning about this guy. Wasn't he drafted as a SS?
Has he ever been expected to pitch as the major league level?

He was drafted as a SS and converted to a pitcher
Very live arm, been in trouble several times, was a signability pick more than a true #1. Coming off TJS.
