The Rays will take on themselves today as the big league squad faces the Triple-A team in Durham. Jeff Niemann will start for the Rays against stud prospect Jeremy Hellickson. Here are the lineups:

This game can only be good for his development
Probably isn’t ready just yet, which is why there was little to no talk of him making the club out of ST, but this probably puts it into perspective. He just faced about as daunting an ML lineup as he’s going to face multiple times in the AL East.
In all seriousness
It should be a very interesting first 2 weeks of pitch fx for Balfour. 4 strikeouts in over 50 batters is strange, working on things or not. We know Soriano has been holding back. Lets hope Balfours been doing the same.
