CBS MiLB Draft RESUMED pt.3, Staples OTC
Hey everyone! I haven't heard any new on the MiLB draft lately, so I'm going to revive the draft until I'm corrected. I would like to propose, however, that we presume the draft has concluded and that a MiLB free agency period has begun. Let me know what you think.
Here's the draft order:
| 1 | Staples Maniacs* |
| 2 | Steroid Nation |
| 3 | Burt Reynolds' Mustache |
| 4 | The Muckdogs |
| 5 | TBD |
| 6 | St. Pete Pelicans |
| 7 | Dan G. LeBeef |
| 8 | Mulva* |
| 9 | Kaltastic |
| 10 | Jeters Never Prosper |
| 11 | Bingo Long's Traveling All-Stars |
| 12 | Florida Crackers |
Here's the spreadsheet that has Sickles grades, KLAW's, BA's, BP's, and Project Prospect's lists.
So this will be an extended draft for 10 rounds. Let's try to make the picks when you see your up. Try to make at least one a day. If you've been on the clock for over 12 hours starting tomorrow we'll autopick.
Don't forget you can still get a half-priced league from cbs by following the following link:

Everyone grabs whoever they want. Free-for-all style.
I figure, since we’ve gone through 6 rounds, most of the best prospects are gone. So we could grab whoever we want for the final 3-4 spots.

I'm behind the general idea
but I feel like the final staples pick should be voided then, so we’ve all got 6 minor league players
I'm fine either way.
I figured it would be kind of mean to take away his rights to Simon Castro because at this point the whole league know who we was targeting. But I don’t really care either way.

Not a fan of this
only because there is no waiverr system for MiLB players in our league. What happens when two or three (or more) teams add the same player? I realize this draft has already taken too long as I wanted David Freese with an MiLB pick, but he was picked up in the league (Not bitter, not bitter), but since it’s only fliers from here on out anyway, we should take out sweet time to make sure everyone gets who they want.
This is kind of my feeling.
Everyone can send in their waiver claims via email (or post em), and we can do an open waiver process.
If that's what were thinking
Why not just keep the draft process going?

I don't think a Free-for-all would work.
If 7.1 counts then we should just keep going with the draft.
Quick question:
Do we have a moves limit or a weekly IP minimum? I was assuming we had both, but I can’t seem to find them anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction, please?
No moves limit
Don’t recall an IP limit either unless CBS has a preset one. We discussed both prior to the season and I remember we decided no on the moves.
by ShawnTSA on May 13, 2010 11:10 AM EDT via mobile up reply actions
I really thought we decided on 75
There must be a preset IP min., I’ve never seen a h2h league without one.
Sizemore?
Wasn’t Steroid Nation’s Sizemore pick voided because he’d already been rostered this year? I can’t remember if he repicked or not but I think I recall it coming up in the last thread.

He then emailed me this:
Steroid Nation – 7.2 Jon Niese, P, NYM
Is that legit? Has anyone owned him?
BUTTTTTT
He’s pitched 79 innings which is over the limit. he hit the limit this year, so if the pick was made before that (which I doubt) then he can be rostered on the MiLB team.
He came into the league with ~39 IP so he had 11 to play with. As slow as this draft has gone, I think he passed his limit by the time Steroid Nation drafted him
I think the point would be 2010 is his rookie season
Which makes him eligible for MiLB this year.
And here I thoughtt we had to pick up players before they hit their mark
Yes, I would have drafted differently, (Mitch Talbot), but I guess it makes sense because this draft is taking an eternity.
OT
But whatever happened to Burt Reynolds anyway? Did he get waived?

Hmm...
IDK. He was pretty decent last year. Seems silly to just release him considering the total lack of position prospects.
I didn't realize I was up, gimme a few.

FYI
The trade with the Pelicans and I was not meant to be accepted.I (thought I) declined it and gave my reasons for doing so via my phone. When apparently my fat fingers must have hit two buttons as I wasn’t even aware it was accepted until I saw the email. I’ve sent the same trade offer back to B-Ray to attempt to fix this and work out a legit deal with him. In the meantime I’ve stuck Piniero in one of my minors slots to keep from having to cut him to avoid having an illegal roster. I’ll give him a couple days to consider it and if he decides against it I’ll adjust my roster. I just wanted to give everybody a heads up so you didn’t see Piniero in my minors spot and think I was trying to bend the rules.

I've accepted the undo trade, so we should be back to our previous positions.
from Cubs Stats and Twitter @BradleyWoodrum
OK
Next time this happens someone can email me and let me know, then I think I can just manually re-assign the players.
It was my fault
I figured I could ask you to do it but since I was the one who screwed up I wanted to make sure B-Ray was cool with it rather than going straight to you. BRay, your the man, let’s hash out a new deal now.
Prolly ok to AutoPick for Steroid Nation now too. I think were coming close to 48hrs now.
