AAA Durham Bulls L 7-6
Carlos Hernandez allowed five runs in seven innings despite allowing just three hits and a walk. Two of the hits were home runs and a pair of errors penalized the Bulls as only one earned run was charge to Hernandez. He also struck out five and generated 12 whiffs on 103 pitches. Winston Abreu took the loss in extra innings allowing two runs in 1.2 innings of work. Elliot Johnson (3) and Dan Johnson (9) homered for the Bulls, while Ryan Shealy was 1-3 with his seventh double of the year and a pair of walks. Of note, Desmond Jennings served as a defensive replacement in the 10th inning.
AA Montgomery Biscuits Postpone'd
Of note, Alex Cobb has arrived in Montgomery after being held back in extended spring training due to an oblique injury. (H/T Stacy Long)
A+ Charlotte Stone Crabs
Joseph Cruz made his best start of the season hurling six shutout innings only allowing three hits and one walk while striking out five. Matt Bush pitched two hitless innings striking out three and walking two. Josh Satow picked up his fourth save of the season. Kyeong Kang led the offense with a 3-4 effort while Tim Beckham was 0-4 with two strikeouts. Isaias Velasquez and Reid Fronk each had two hits a piece.
