PrintCinco de Mayo (Spanish for "fifth of May") is a voluntarily observed holiday that commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín.[2][3] It is celebrated primarily in the state of Puebla and in the United States.[4][5][6][7] While Cinco de Mayo has limited significance nationwide in Mexico, the date is observed in the United States and other locations around the world as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride.[8] Cinco de Mayo is not Mexico's Independence Day,[9] the most important national patriotic holiday in Mexico.

As for me
I’m staying out of it until and unless I actually do the work regarding college/pro picks that we’ve previoulsy discussed….Also, I don’t think the statements “Beckham is/isn’t a bust” and “The Rays chose wisely/unwisely with their pick” are dependent on one another. I’m more focused on the latter statements.

It’s on Verizon, I like it, and I think they’re dropping a new one soon. The Tour came out last summer, and it should be a bit cheaper now if you’re interested. i know nothing about phones though.

One of my favorites around here is Westchase

Westchase is good.
Wentworth is great. The Eagles is alright if you’re not a member anywhere and/or want to play for cheap.
Chi Chi Rodriguez is about the same or better than the Eagles.
I’ve played just about everywhere in this county and my local favorites are Chi Chi for the $, Wentworth (Private) for the course and Fox Hollow.

Outside of the Central Fund and Revenue Sharing
Attendance is the biggest driver of profits. It leads to increased demand of all the higher margin products and season tickets, especially, give the team a significant cash flow.

If you look at it like:
Interest→Attendance→Sales of shit
You can’t buy an $8 beer from your couch. Perhaps I’m reading it wrong, but it looks like you are saying that interest is more important than attendance. I would agree with that simple analysis, but at some point it needs to translate or people won’t be buying shit at the game and there will be reduced incentives for the team to field a competitive team.

revenue. I was making a comment on why the people on this site insist on defending the people who REFUSE to go to a game. When the reasons of economics and hours in the day are eliminated, the people who aren’t going to the games simply don’t want to see the team play in person. If I could understand why that is, maybe I would be less skeptical on whether they merely like the team because it is convenient now that they are good.

financial and travel/time are poor excuses for not attending ONE game, if you live in this area. IIRC, there are 26 Sat/Sun games and six months to budget to go to a game. As I said above (or below), outside of those reasons it’s essentially apathy that would be the main reason behind not attending a game.

People attending Rays games directly affects the livelyhood of the team; a birthday party isn't a direct (or IMO valid) comparison.
I’d compare it more to providing for a child then celebrating an annual event.

Pricey and Amazing: Innisbrook, Fox Hollow, Westchase, Wentworth
Solid courses: EL Woodlands, Chi Chi, Eagles

but it’s busy as all get out in the summer. Haven’t played there in a year or two, but I used to play there alot. If you ever can get out onto Pasadena CC, do it.

I used to work there. It’s been a long time but they had hands down the best greens in the area a few years back, not sure now.

I'd also be sure to ask any course before you play if they've punched them and when they did.
It takes 4-6 weeks to be playable and they don’t offer that up. Drives me nuts when I get there and find out the greens are screwed and I’m still paying full price.

Cooler can easily be snuck on and it is open to the public.
Pretty good track, has always been in good condition when I’ve gone.
Seven Springs is alright, Innisbrook is the bomb, Lost Oaks is alright but not great condition (but the layout is fantastic). If you can get on MacDill Air Force Base, the South course is awesome. ChampionsGate is a great course but tough as hell.

I have a set of clubs I bought about 5 years ago that I’ve used less then 10 times. Every time I’m doing some cleaning I look at those clubs as something to get rid of since I don’t play, and never do because I always convince myself that I’ll use them.

I wouldn't be against playing a round with you and a couple others, but you'd have to take into account the fact that I am very very awful.
As in: the largest club I use is a 5-wood. If I play with people, I’d prefer a short course like Largo Muni or Chi Chi’s.
I'm right there with ya. I try to shoot a decent score (if I'm below 50 I'm happy).
I just try to enjoy the day, have a few beers and a cigar or too. A good score is gravy.

Pep fucked up big time.
He played right into Inter’s hands by using Ibra and refusing to play with proper wingers. Barca’s dirty little secret is that they are terrible crossers of the ball. Had Barca gone with Messi up top, they would have drawn Samuel and Lucio into parts of the field they didn’t want to be and they would have performed much better.
This game isn’t of the same caliber — Inter and Barca are probably the two best teams in the world — but of similar stakes and should be of similar entertainment value.
