Minor League Highlights 5/9
Class F Tampa Bay Rays L 4-0
The offense failed to have a runner reach base.
AAA Durham Bulls L 9-3
One would hope that with Jeremy Hellickson on the mound vs. the AAA Yankee affiliate we could find something to cheer about on this mother's day, but alas, Hellboy was roughed up for five runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out only three in five innings.Hellickson induced 10 whiffs on his 86 pitches. Hank Blalock went 2-4 with his fourth home run and fifth home run and if he's not hitting clean up in the Class F Rays starting lineup tomorrow with that bum Pena on the bench well....... I'll be glad to know Friedman, Maddon & Co. don't overreact to a bad day or slump. Fernando Perez hit his second triple of the year, but may have been roughed up when on third base. He later was replaced in the field by Elliot Johnson, though not immediately. Chris Richard was 2-3 with a walk and his tenth double, while Jose Lobaton was 2-4 with his fifth double.
AA Montgomery Biscuits Off-Day
A+ Charlotte Stone Crabs Off-Day
In rather disappointing news, Matt Bush was placed on the disabled list. I have no news on the injury so please pass along any information you may have.
A Bowling Green Hot Rods W 10-7
Kyle Lobstein allowed five runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out five in five innings of work. Ty Morrison continues to show signs of life going 4-5 with his 2nd triple and two more stolen bases bringing his total to 13. Tyler Bortnick was 3-5 with a walk, two doubles (9), and a stolen base (6). The freshly called up Gabe Cohen went 2-5 with a double and stolen base in his debut. Cohen takes the place of Brett Nommensen who went on the disabled list. All but one member of the Bowling Green lineup had multi-hit games.

I love how a superb performance by Blalock is handled by DRB
Hell-boy and Lobestein shit thje bed too—not a good weekend for Rays fans
I personally want him to be MLB-level hitting coach.
FIRE SHELTON.
RIP Andy Hellicksonstine. He died, like so many young men of his generation, he died before his time. In your wisdom, SBN, you took him, as you took so many bright flowering young men at the OTTOTD. These young men gave their lives. And so would Andy. Andy, who loved trannies.
HE'S NOT A PROSPECT YOU BUTT MUSCLE.
I think if SF1 hit the Power Ball he would still find something to bitch about.
"I think we should put this guy on blast and let all the guys around town know to make sure you don’t leave your GFs around Evan Longoria while he’s in town because he has no class or respect for other men."

Outside of the fact that he's not hitting a .431 BABIP fueled batting average
Dan Johnson has been better than Blalock, but no one is calling for him to be called up.
