Joe Maddon Says 50% Chance Of Jason Bartlett to DL

After classifying Jason Bartlett's hamstring as day-to-day, the Rays are now saying there is a 50/50 chance of the shortstop hitting the DL. If he does land on the DL, it will mark the third straight season that Bartlett has been "disabled."
If the Rays truly feel like Bartlett will be out for this series, and maybe the next, then Bartlett should just go on the DL now. Normally when you lose a starter, your team becomes worse. However, when that starter's back-up - Reid Brignac - is the superior player both offensively and defensively, it softens the blow.
You never root for a player to get injured, but at his point an unavailable Bartlett is just taking up Matt Joyce's roster spot.

Also like to take this time to note that I'm 99% certain that nobody on this site controls the widget on the right talking about team injuries. Nobody here has put Jason Bartlett on the 60 day DL.
