Minor League Highlights 6/3
AAA Durham Bulls W 11-3
Carlos Hernandez allowed three runs over five innings with four strikeouts and a walk. Chris Richard continued his monster season going 3-5 with his 21st double and 8th home run, while Alvin Colina finished 4-5 with his fourth home run. Matt Joyce went 2-5 with a home run. Desmond Jennings had the night off.
AA Montgomery Biscuits W 3-0
Jake McGee was very strong for the second straight outing pitching six shutout innings and allowing just three hits and two walks while striking out four. McGee induced 10 whiffs on his 68 pitches. Dane De La Rosa, Darin Downs, and Matt Gorgen combined for four shutout innings of relief. Chris De La Cruz, John Matulia, Drew Anderson, and Matt Fields each had a hit and a walk for the Biscuits.
A+ Charlotte Stone Crabs L 6-3
Matt Moore had a rough first innings but rebounded strong. Moore allowed six runs on six hits, including a three run bomb to straightaway center. Moore walked three and struck out five. I had the chance to watch Moore as the Crabs were on Brighthouse 47 (Replay 3:00 PM tomorrow, set your DVR). He clearly was having command issues, being wild at times and other times leaving pitches right over the heart of the plate. It makes you wonder if his command is leading to his outrageously high BABIP. The Crabs offense was led by their catchers. Stephen Vogt was 3-4 with his fourth home run, and Matt Spring went 2-3 with his third double. Leslie Anderson and Henry Wrigley finished 0-4 with Wrigley striking out three times. Tim Beckham unfortunately had the night off.

Are you saying he should become fashionable or elitist or snarky or condescending? Is he supposed to adopt logical fallacies as his core technique of debate? Is he supposed to bleat religious proclamations and claim they are "proved" by statistics when they aren’t?

Thing's I would like to see
Matt Joyce to the majors
Leslie Anderson to AA
Jake McGee to AAA
Someone reminding Moore he is supposed to be awesome
Well Rafael Soriano and Joquain Benoit is very nice also.
Isn't it funny how that works?
The only time it’s on TV, and a prospect like Beckham has the night off.
