PhotoShop/Caption Contest: The Willy Aybar Edition
There were lots of wonderfully awkward photos from the Mariners series this weekend, so I can't resist sharing at least one of them with you. Willy Aybar is a great guy, but he's certainly no Evan Longoria at third base.
On a more serious note, this may be Willy's last season with the Rays. He's got a $2.2M option for 2011, but considering he's a bench player and limited to 1B/DH, his role can easily be filled with other, cheaper options. Maybe he'll be back, but I doubt the Rays pick up his option and once he's a free agent, odds are he could get more playing time and more money elsewhere. He may not have had much of an impact on the Rays this year, but I'll always remember his well-timed hot streak in 2008. He will be missed, if only for sentimental reasons.
Oh, and the winner of this contest will have BJ Upton come and personally congratulate you...

Feel free to write captions / photoshop whichever photo you desire...just be sure to clarify who's talking, Aybar or Upton.

Willy Aybar took his reputation as a little league glove to a new level when a chopper off the bat caught him in the middle of his pretend pitching session at the hot corner.

I hope so, these games are meaningless and he could use the rest
I’d love to see him go on a tear over the next month that carries us to the title.
Hell yeah it is.
Any amount of points can be scored week to week. well, besides 1 point. Any number is as likely to be reached as another, since there’s only one of each number, each has the same chance to be hit. IT’s how the syetemof averages works.

Huge infield cockroach distracts Aybar in mid-play.
Bartlett overhears Aybar say “WHAT THE BLOODY HELL IS THAT!?!” in perfect Queen’s English. Thus ending Aybar’s ruse that he was from South America and not South Wales.
