Kelly Johnson: Type B?
So, remember how we had a post a bit back suggesting Kelly Johnson as a possible addition for the Rays, and how that got shot down largely because of his Type A status? Well, things seem to have changed since then.

According to that MLB Trade Rumors report, players like Johnson (unfortunately not Willingham as well) could lose their Type A status in the new CBA. If this happens, I would say Johnson becomes a lot more attractive for the Rays. Thoughts?

Agreed.
I wrote an entire post thinking he was a type-B (going off MLBTR predictions) here: http://www.draysbay.com/2011/11/4/2537547/does-kelly-johnson-makes-sense-for-the-rays
Hopefully, but not from what I can tell
Kelly Johnson seems to be the cut off for Type A’s becoming Type B’s, or else we’ll be seeing Josh Willingham become a Type B as well.
