Community Prospect #4 Runoff
With Enny Romero having 9 votes and Tim Beckham having 6 votes, we are going off to a runoff. I figured that the ten voters who voted for another prospect could swing the voting between these two.
The rules are quite simple: vote for the prospect you feel is better.
Enny Romero: Romero has a good fastball, a potentially plus curve, and a developing changeup.(http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?id=romero001enn)
Tim Beckham: The first overall pick in the 2008 draft, Beckham is the heat of much debate. Some say he has plenty of tools while others doubt it. (http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?id=beckha001tim)

even though I voted for Beckham originally, after reading some more reports and seeing him not even get mentioned by Mayo from the AFL I’m going to back off my Beckham love a bit although I still like him a lot. If I could go back and change the vote completely it would go to Mahtook, I don’t even have Romero as the next pitcher on my board.

No matter how much they are hyped, my teams always find a way to disappoint.

I could care less about your graduate degree-I was a full professor at Harvard at 34 and am a full professor at Columbia now in a theoretical field whose main tool is statistical mechanics. So can can come down from your high place.

Beckham is even a possibility at #4???

You had him at #7 last year, so why is #4 unreasonable now?
His defense has continued to improve to the point where most believe he can stick at SS in the majors, he’s starting to show signs of the power and speed they thought he’d develop when he went #1, he’s remained healthy, his work ethic has been commended by teammates and coaches and he’s been one of the youngest at each level he’s played in.
Beckham is closer to the majors and at a more premium position than many others that will show up on this list, so at a minimum he seems worthy of being in the conversation.
there it is.

I really hope Beckham gets voted for in #5
I don’t like the idea of voting for the same guy 3 to 4 times in a row. Unless the list goes like Sikels’ list, in which case I will be voting for him 10 times in a row!
