Angel Berroa
Travis Ishakawa
Jeff Clement
It's been said here often before.
If there is any reasonable chance that he is healthy, my #1 target for a minor league deal, perhaps with some extra incentives, would be Nick Johnson. Is there anyone else on any list with a demonstrably higher ceiling?
I agree with this
If healthy again Nick Johnson could be a good signing. He was a nice average and obp guy a few years ago.
No matter how much they are hyped, my teams always find a way to disappoint.

Salvage projects
Max Ramirez C – put up good OBPs in the minors and in very limited time in the majors. Is he hopeless on defense? Did his wrist problem ruin his throwing? Scot Hatteberg?
Ryan Shealy 1b – knee problems
Garrett Olson P – former 1st rounder, lefty, pitches decently in relief but doesn’t have the pitches to start.
Jason Bergmann P – was pretty good pre-injury.
Mark Prior P – talk about high upside! But the injury history is tragic.
Logan Kensing P – first year back after injury he was striking people out in AAA but was a bit wild. Only 28.
Chin-lung Hu SS – was once touted, 27.
Adam Miller P – was a big-time prospect, got hurt, didn’t pitch well this year but with more time maybe he’d bounce back. Huge upside.

Miller
was burned out by mid-season. He hadn’t really pitched in 2 years.
2012 will be the year that he regains his strength and moves his career forward.
As far as I know the “finger” held up fine which was the big worry.
Got to assume that most teams are after him.
Maybe the Rays’ success rejuvenating other pitchers will draw in Miller.

How about Adam Loewen?
No options left, but I read he was outrighted off some team’s 40man. Could be an interesting pick up. Seems like a decent bat with some power if he can get his contact under control.
Am I the only one flagging this guy?
Seriously, do we have to wait for the money shot or a "F*** THE SOXXXXXX!" before we ban him? Doubleteapot… BAN HIM!!

.306/.377/.588 is a nice line at AAA
Although it was in the PCL. I suspect he’ll eventually sign again with the Jays; he has stated a strong preference for living in his native Canada.

I'm also interested in

Koby Clemens – 1b
John Lindsey – 1b
Gustavo Chacin – lhp
Fernando Perez – of (I just like the guy)

Aaron Heilman – rhp
Garret Olson – lhp
Max Ramirez – c
Scott Patterson – rhp
Winston Abreu – rhp

Probably a lot of crap in there, but a handful of potentially useful 1b and pitchers.
