No Rays prospects in ranking from 33 - 100

The Seedlings to Stars website is doing a 2012 MLB prospect ranking, and they have already finished 2/3's of the list, from number 33-100.

So far, not one TB Ray prospect made this list. Am I one of the narrow minded homers because I expected to see a couple names other than Matt Moore and Lee in their rankings?

Here is the link: S2S Top 100 List

I don't recognize most of the names on the list. They have Yonder Alonso at #97 which makes me wonder who are all these other names.

any top 100 list without Torres in it is crazy to me

He lacks national recognition because he is in the wrong organization, he would probably be a #4 or better starter in most rotations to start 2012. The Rays have ridiculous depth in starting pitching and he is the odd man out.

BA will probably include a couple more

But outside of Moore and Lee, there aren’t a lot of top flight guys. Tons of depth though.

Hellickson, Jennings, Cobb, McGee and I doubt he would of made it anyway but Gomes also

all graduated last year. So while our team is very young and talented, we don’t have many big time “prospects” besides Moore and Lee.

Under construction

Gomes? Really?

It is so so rare for a reliever to get ranked in the top 100, and Gomes certainly wouldn’t come close at all.
