Rumors of adding another player to spring roster
_____________________________________
"* If the Rays do go ahead and add a player to the spring roster (as rumored), a name to keep in mind is INF/OF Joe Inglett, who played last season with Brewers. Inglett, 32, is another versatile player who would provide depth at a number of positions."

Oh, I love me some Joe Inglett, NRI or MiL deal and I'd be stoked

He could be a LHH Sean Rodriguez defensively with better on base, but not the slugging. We’re already so deep, but I always liked watching this gritmonster when he was with the Jays

Similar glove, both can't hit same-handers, Inglett does a better job of getting on base, Roddy hits for more power

Can’t wait to troll the life out of you all summer when you realize that Roddy won’t hit righties and is nobody’s savior

.762 OPS vs. righties for his career

.782 in 137 PA last year. That’s Adam Kennedy 3.0 (assuming that Felipe Lopez is Adam Kennedy 2.0) — the kind of player who’s nice depth at Durham and won’t hurt your team if you need an injury replacement.

Fangraphs is pretty meh on his fielding, BTW. (-10.4 UZR/150 at 2B)

Exactly who I thought of

There for depth purposes in the Spring and maybe early season with a wink wink trade agreement or opt out
