Should we add Branyan
I don't know, on a minor league, sure why not but our competition would be 3 lefty 1B. If they want a lefty at 1B so bad, put Damon there and release the Jennings.
This guy doesn't notice how patient Johnson is and well some of this is cut off unless you have Insider

We have enough LH IB to choose from
It’s getting to the point where they won’t be enough ABs to make a valid evaluation.
At 2 million...yes
If it would free up moving Dan Johnson to help get a cheap closer in a deal. He should be worth 1 million more than the Rays are paying Johnson. I’m all for patience but in the Rays line-up, I’d like a little more thump batting 6/7th.
Branyan is another guy that WILL get hurt
It’s not if, it’s when so we would be using Johnson or Kotchman soon enough anyway. Of course theres hope, in my mind anyway that Damon is the 1B to start the year and we let Jennings play or we give Joyce and S-Rod everyday jobs by moving Zobrist to LF

I would pass
His next team will be the 13th team change since 2002. I have read in a couple places he is a lousy clubhouse guy. Why hasn’t a team signed him yet at such a cheap price?
History of missing games.
Poor in the field.
We just rid ourselves of high K guys why bring in another? Manny, Damon, Zobrist, Longo and Jaso should all be .360 and up OBP hitters. I would love to have a grind it out lineup.
Danjo is the better all around player.
IMO, Branyan is redundant
If we want offense, we go with Johnson, if we want defense, we go with Kotchman
Branyan is a injury plone, even worse defensive version of Dan Johnon. And he swings at everything while Dan takes his walks.
